Stuart Turned 3

Stuart's 3
Stuart's 3rd birthday took place November 13, 2011. He sure is a special kid. We are blessed by all that he is and does. Whether that is making one of his siblings laugh.
Birthday
Or being delighted by the simple surprises that are offered him.
Train
Being creative is one of his talents. He loves to find joy everywhere he goes.
Diego Gear
So until an animal needs rescued or people need hugs and kisses remember that we love you Stuart always and forever.

Black and White

Gloves 4
We found the perfect spot in the house for taking pictures the other day.
Gloves 2
Lots of sunlight was available to model these stylin' new gloves Mike brought home.
Gloves 3
Too bad the spot is right next to the toilet paper AND the potty.
Gloves 1
Oh well, that IS the room where I will use these gloves. At least I will be styling while I'm cleaning

Teeny Tiny Adventures

Often as the mother of four children there are moments when I feel a little house bound. I am not really house bound, but the effort it takes to load up all four kids seems tremendous. And yet I do it every Sunday, and about half of all school days as we go pick up Goldie.
Courthouse doors-top
So recently as I was driving through town I noticed this lovely door arch on our court house. It makes me think "Art Nouveau" (though I could be wrong) and I determined to take the kids there after school to take some pics.
Courthouse doors
I didn't really want to go inside especially when I noticed you have to go through a screening process.
CH-Ammon
It seems strange to have such an old building gated just on the inside by such modern technology.
CH-Ammon 1
Instead we walked around the outside, took pictures, climbed things, and read the stories about revolutionary war heroes. I declared the outing was to be called our teeny tiny adventure.
CH-Stuart
It was fun to get out.
CH-Josiah
And during the next few days both Josiah and Stuart on separate occasions told me they wanted to go on another teeny tiny adventure.
CH-Goldie
I guess they were feeling as house bound as I was.
4 kids
I hope to find another successful adventure soon.

Family Adventures

We've been very blessed this year. We've got three Allen family members who have moved within driving distance from us albeit temporarily. Of course you know we've been enjoying Arrel and Marcia.
Gregg
But this fall we've got to see TWO of Gregg's Soccer games!
up to SVU
We explored Buena Vista, the town he lives in. It's got some pretty friendly people there.
the Knight
We walked around his college campus and found an awesome statue right in front of a historic hotel. (We wanted to walk on the balcony of that hotel turned office/classroom, but found out up near the top floor its also turned dormitory, so we turned back.)
Visiting
And over the General Conference weekend we hung out with all three of those family members in North Carolina....Oh I'd like to do it again soon! It made me happy.
