Rishi Richardson
Rishi Richardson All my expectations for each of my classes were surprisingly exceeded. Students were awesome. Co workers were graciously helpful. I try to stay positive, but this week has been very challenging and I thought today would be no better. I was wrong. I was blessed by many and especially by my Heavenly Father. It was a beautiful day.

A Young Writer...

Goldie won 1st place in her school and 2nd place in the county for a story she wrote entitled, "The Drowning Detectives." However, she was surprised when she was invited to a celebration in honor of the winners. Mike was even more surprised by his short notice and hurried to get the boys ready so they could all attend the celebration in her honor.
Afterwards they all went out to eat at Chik-Fila.

My Parents

My parents came for a visit the week before spring break. We hung out together and went shopping at second hand stores for fun. While shopping we went to a fun restaurant called Wicked Taco. In the bathrooms there are chalkboards that all the college students write notes on. I saw this one and knew someone loves a Bridger. So I took a picture to show my Bridger
I took a selfie with my parents at the hotel they stayed at the night before they went home. I sure do love them!

Battle of the Books 2016

Goldie and Josiah were together as part of Mercer School's Battle of the Books team this year. They read six books and scored among the highest of those that took the test. Then, because Goldie was a fifth grader she was responsible to learn two book and Josiah, as a third grader, was responsible for one. They read their books again and tried to figure out what could be asked during the contest by attending weekly practices. The team went further than it ever had before.
The team also included two sets of brothers and sisters.

Making tie blankets

A week ago the Young Women and Activity Day Girls had a lesson on modesty. Tonight each of them brought their clothes that were no longer modest and we cut them up and made a blanket out of them. Goldie helped to show how to pin things to the fabric so they could be sewn.
