Ready...Set...Roll!

Okay, watch what I can do....
Look closely,
My hands are ready
My feet are ready
One, two, three, I can turn over,
Aren't you proud of me?

I am one smart boy! Wouldn't you agree?

April Begins

April Fool's Day
Is Goldie an Old man or what?
On April 5 Mike was wearing a coat
powerwashing the deck and front porch
It was cold.

Then on Easter Morning we woke up to snow.

We made this cake for our Easter Party.
Our Easter Morning Family Picture
I made Goldie this dress for Easter.

Isn't Josiah handsome?

Spring is here!

Spring has Sprung in our backyard!
In the park lives the lovely Red Bud Tree.
Why do they call it the red bud?
It's purple.

I think the Red Bud trees were doing fireworks here.
But you'd better ask Goldie and Josiah.
They saw it, I didn't.

Hanging out with friends is fun.

But when one of them holds your little brother

why not have some fun?

Isn't our peach tree lovely?

I think this is called a Bartlett Pear Tree.

I like it when its blooming.

Grandmas and Japanese Clothing

Since this baby's daughter shared this picture with me,
I thought you all might like to see it...again.
I think it's awsome.
Mom and I both recently discovered an interesting fact about this picture.
These women were not all the oldest sibling or even sister
in their families. I like that fact quite a bit. Somehow it makes me feel like I belong to them just a little more.
This is the baby's great grandaughter!
Boy times sure have changed. We were on our way to church last Sunday and just had to take this picture.

And finally, these are clothes that Mike and I purchased at a second hand store in Japan. We need to use the flash next time, but we still thought it was a good picture.

Yesterday and Today

O to tell you the story...
It started out that we had our friend
David over for the weekend.
We decided to go visit Ma Maw.
The men got everything AND
everybody packed into the car.

Goldie didn't want to wear the shirt

that Daddy had picked out for her

Josiah went to the car willingly enough
Goldie got in her seat but we forgot to do up her seat belt...silly parents. We fixed that after this picture.

When we got to Ma Maw's Goldie decided to ride a four wheeler that was her size. Daddy helped her.
But then she got the hang of it herself...sort of!

We finally went home and Goldie put on that shirt that Daddy had wanted her to wear in the morning.

For dinner we had Tinfoil dinners.

The first of 2007.

Mommy helped cook.
But one of the best parts of the day was when we got an envelope in the mail. It was addressed to Richard Rishison. Anbody know her, him?

It contained this awesome green dress that Goldie has danced around in all day long. Charith designed and sewed the whole thing - without a pattern. Way to go!

Goldie loves it!

I hope you can tell that Yesterday and Today we've been having fun.

The End

More Hangin' Around

This is a great picture of my Mike, isn't he sexy!
Look what Goldie did to her cheek. (she scratched it with a notebook wire.) The day before she got a bruise on the other side of her forehead (she slipped on a paper on the kitchen floor and fell into the protruding corner of a wall), but it didn't photograph to well. She looked like a little abused child.
Josiah has a hat on his head.
This is the new blanket that Grandma sent to Josiah.
He loves it.
Hanging around!

Our first 2007 day in the park

A couple of weeks ago we went to Ma Maw's where there was lots of snow and Goldie went outside and enjoyed walking around in it for the first time. Ever since then she has put on her coat or her snow pants and paraded around the house. So yesterday after I got home from meeting with my professor I took her outside. When we came in she screamed about it for twenty minutes wanting to go back out. We decided to go to the park after her naptime and these are the adventures we had. (We took a page from Charith's book:-)
First we went for a walk on the trail. Goldie sat in the stroller and Josiah rode in the backpack on my front. The grey/plaid thing is Josiah, he is turned towards me.
Part of the walk he didn't like because the wind would take his breath and he was getting used to being bounced.
After our walk we went to play on the playground.
Goldie really enjoyed it and didn't want to go home at all.
Josiah finally gave up and went to sleep. We had a marvelous time and when we got home Goldie wanted to go for another "walk." That is her new word. When daddy came home from work we suited up again and went to the backyard to enjoy the last few moments of daylight.
