Summer Memories -2011- Part 1

Coming to the end of a summer full of this:

and not to mention a little bit of this:

has been awfully hard. We've got such sweet memories of bible school and getting ready for it. Here are a few:

So for now, we'll keep up our reminiscing over the last few glorious months and look forward to these long cool evenings ahead.

Learning

There are three of us boys at home with mom everyday.

We are learning all kinds of things, like writing and drawing.

And hey I'm learning to sit up and eat at the same time. That takes talent...doesn't it?

First Day of First Grade 2011

Camp Creek August 18 2011

Recently we went to Camp Creek state park. The six kids thought walking through the water water would be the most exciting thing they would do all day.

I personally thought a butterfly on poopy was pretty exciting. But it wasn't enough for Josiah,

He decided to bang his head on a rock. Now let me tell you. THAT WAS EXCITING!

Summer Daze

Wow...July just got forgotten in the virtual world. Somehow, in the heat of the summer I forget to take my camera on our adventures. Despite my lack of chronicles we've been doing lots, like:

:: visiting Grandma and Grandpa
:: going to Bible School
:: swimming
:: attending the library's summer reading program
:: sliding down hills in our swimming suits
:: watching Ammon learn to roll over
:: climbing trees
:: playing in the park

In lieu of pictures of these adventures I give you the great puzzle. Which of our four children is which? I know its easy to cheat, but see if you can guess who is who without.

July 3rd

It was the day before Independence day when all through the house everyone was ready for church, yes even the mouse (Ammon).

We trundled out of the door and to our surprise, we were early for church now wasn't that nice!

So we sat on the steps and captured a flag,

Snapped some pictures of kids and a slightly old hag (me:-)

And then we recalled a Mike we could not see.

So after church we all had fun around the tree.
