01.22.16 Snow Has Finally Arrived!

Finally! The snow we've been waiting for has arrived.

 The first real snow of the season.

We Swept

and dug

I shoveled

they built forts

They buried each other.

And it reminded me

of summer shenanigans

We played so hard in this first storm of the season...we needed to rest!

01.19.16 First (out of school) snow day of 2015-16

Snow Day #1: (really its a cold day) It's almost 1pm and so far this morning I have slept in, done some yoga with my kids, made a brunch of potatoes, eggs, gravy and toast, played apples to apples, discussed the plots of two Shakespearean plays with the 10 year old, caught up on the dishes, helped the 7 year old figure out why most mornings when he gets ready for school its 6:45 instead of seven nine. I love being a mom. I get so much done...what will the rest of the day bring?

Nothing better on a birthday than spending time on hike with my family, except maybe eating frozen lemon pie on birthday with my family...which I did.

We picked the most gigantic apples off our tree today.

My evenings work: cutting out a panda for Goldie's "poodle" skirt. We also read 40 pages in Holes and I did ALOT of dishes. I love my mom life!
