Pumpkin Patch
Ammon, Stuart, and I accompanied Josiah on a field trip this week. We drove an hour behind the bus to the Williams Orchard-Farm. Once we arrived, I put Ammon in the backpack and we got on a hayride which took us on a tour of the farm.
Because of a recent frost they had picked all the lower apples and put them in this bin. The children got to spend time picking out the best looking apple.
Then we headed off to the gourd patch and the pumpkin patch. Josiah was more interested in the wooly worms and the grasshoppers than picking pumpkins, but he finally chose.
On the ride back the boys got in a reflective mood.
They pretended to milk a cow.
And I tried to get them to stand still long enough to take a picture of the three of them, but you know those 20 month old kids, never hold still for a second!
It was a sunny and slightly chilly but so fun trip! Glad you came along.

Hat Day

Today is hat day at school. They didn't have it last year and it seems its all they've talked about this year. We spent 1/2 hour last night searching for these hats so they could wear them. Then woke up to below freezing temperatures and wished we'd spent the thirty minutes looking for coats in our basement. They have their warmest jackets on and they'll survive till tomorrow. May your day be as colorful as their hats.
