I know y'all out west are missing your parents/grandparents, but we are enjoying them. It's so fun to take these little visits every now and then, and to top it off we get such interesting scenery especially at this time of year.

To get to their home we travel one hour on the freeway and three hours on highway 58. The first few miles of it is a two lane road that goes up and over a 3,000 ft mountain. At the top you see this beautiful spot called Lover's Leap. It was fun to picnic nearby.
At the padres home the corn field was gone and the kids, who took this picture, had fun snapping shots around the house...

On the way back home we stopped a mile or so on the other side of Lover's Leap and got pumpkins to decorate. The kids had a good time picking out their favorite.
We really enjoyed our time with my parents and look forward to seeing them again. On the way home Goldie needed to do a pit stop and when she could not wait another moment the car broke down right in front of a little mom and pop type garage. We were truly blessed because the mechanic charged us next to nothing and fixed us right up in less than two hours. The Lord watches over us!

Cool trip. Not cool to have the car break down. But in front of a mechanic is the best place to do it. Call me, yo. I tried to call you the other day but it just rang. Did you get my email about etsy?
